Designed to explore how users can be involved in practical solutions to our excess of waste material, focussing here on single-use plastics.

A triangular metal 'belt' frame acts as the baking tray for the plastics to be melted at home. HDPE (2) plastic was focussed on for this project as research revealed that this specific plastic type could be melted safely before releasing toxic fumes.

Once the plastics were melted within the frame, legs could be attached to turn this home experiment into a functional piece of furniture. A conversation starter about single use plastics.
